ACS completed this $2.5M six-bay truck rack construction project for GATX (now known as Kinder Morgan) at their Taft Terminal in the Orlando area as part of terminal improvements designed to increase the fuel truck loading operation of the facility.
As the sole contractor on this project, ACS' scope of work consisted of relocating an existing four-bay canopy; demolition, defueling and abandoning existing above- and below-ground piping; all the site civil work including underground truck rack drains, concrete truck loading containment pad with underlayment HCP liner; all concrete support footers; all structural steel erection fabrication and installation of the new manifold headers and associated piping from headers to truck rack; installation of vapor flare unit and associated vapor recovery piping; all electrical and mechanical tasks; installation of all loading arms, meters, strainers, injectors, associated tubing and instrumentation components; and all site restoration efforts.
ACS' scope of work also included all pipeline painting, hydro-testing on newly installed piping segments, pump alignment, construction of a storm-water runoff retention pond, and construction of the truck driver bill-of-lading (BOL) building fully furnished with instrumentation and controls and septic system for the restrooms.
This project was completed within the allocated 12 month schedule utilizing approximately 25,000 ACS man-hours and was completed without safety incident and to a high level of customer satisfaction. |
